Elisabeth Cats-Speelman woonde met haar dochter Hanny Minny aan de Parklaan 14A als laatste veilige woonplaats. Haar man, Lion Cats, was in maart 1940 overleden.

Zij had het pand, dat beneden in gebruik was geweest - en mogelijk nog steeds tijdens de oorlog - als bedrijfsruimte, in eigendom.

The police commissioner of Haarlem requested that Elisabeth Cats-Speelman and her daughter Minny Hanny Cats be located, detained and brought to trial. They lived in Haarlem. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
