Simon van Bever was a son of Samson van Bever and Sientje Smeer. He married Betje Zwarts in Amsterdam on 6 Februari 1935, a daughter of Abraham Zwarts and Sara Wertheijm. The couple had three children: Samson, Sara and Sientje; toghether with their mother, they have been killed on 9 July 1943 in Sobibor. Simon van Bever's life was already taken in Mauthausen on 1 September 1941.
Simon self was born into a family of ten children. Three children have died in childhood, long before the war. One daughter passed away in Amsterdam during the Holocaust. But he self, his brothers Aron, Samuel and Salomon and his sisters Sara and Heintje have been killed in the Shoah.
