Salomon Vecht was a son of Abraham Vecht and Saralina Kannegieter, a family with three children, among them Julia and Elias, who has died in childhood. Salomon married in Rotterdam on 3 June 1925 to Henriette Kalker. The couple had two children: Abraham Hartog and Hartog, who both have survived the Holocaust.
