About Jacob Benedictus Sajet

Jacobus Benedictus Sajet (nickname Jaap) lived in Amsterdam at the Plantage Franschelaan, with his mother. He became involved in illegal activities, was betrayed and arrested.
Jacobus Benedictus Sajet was unmarried. He was a representative. He had joined the illegal organisation Vrije Groep Amsterdam. He helped Jews who went into hiding by forging identity cards and documents for distribution. Jacobus Benedictus Sajet was caught on 1 February 1943 in Amsterdam and locked up in the prison at the Weteringschans. From there, he was deported to Sobibor via Westerbork.
