About Rebekka Engelsman-van der Sluis

Rebekka van der Sluis was a daughter of Mozes van der Sluis and Schoontje Godfried. She married 17 June 1891 in Amsterdam to Isaac Engelsman, a son of Levie Engelsman and Hendrika Muis. However, Isaac passed away on 22 April 1921. The couple had ten choldren, of whom one son has survived the war, two sons have died before the war, one aged 19 and the other aged 10 months and their daugther Schoontje, (married to Simon Meijer), deceased also before the war, in 1936.
The other six children, Hendrika, Elisabeth, Grietje, Mietje, Salomon and the still with her mother living Anna, have been killed all during the Holocaust.
