Gertrud Schönborn

Gertrud was a child of a so called "Mischehe", her mother was jewish, her father catholic. The familiy lived in Dortmund, Hohe Straße 61 1/2. Her mother Selma and a sister of Gertrud named Hilde survived the war. In 1938 Getrud married Walter Michael Poppert in Amsterdam. In Sobibor both were not murdered immediatly, but selected to work. Both were obviously involved in the Sobibor uprising on Oct 14th 1943. Gertrud died that day.
