Salomon was de zoon van Emanuel Isaac Roodveldt (14 juli 1926) en Sara Salomon Blitz. Hij trouwde 10 mei 1905 met Elisabeth Maria Pedro (geboren 4 april 1869). Op dat moment had het stel al drie kinderen. Elisabeth overleed 11 juli 1914.
