Wolfgang Laitpold Dinkelspiel was a correspondent and playwright. He was married to Frederike Ruth Waldeck, a weaver. In the late 1930s the couple fled Germany. They went to Voorschoten and reached Alphen aan den Rijn via Leiden. In Alphen aan den Rijn they lived at several addresses and ended up at 2 Emmalaan.
