Sara is een dochter van Moses Poppelhouwer en Sara Vrouwtje Glasbeek (A'dam, 5 maart 1817). Ze trouwde juni 1875 met Abraham Bendien (A'dam, 20 maart 1840 - A'dam, 11 januari 1897).
