Sofia Sluijter went into hiding in Koog aan de Zaan with the Stroo family, under the name Mientje de Ro(o)de. After betrayal she was arrested, together with the person who hid her. After being deported to Vught concentration camp she was sent to Westerbork as Mientje de Ro(o)de. The person who hid her was condemned to six months detention in Sachsenhausen. He survived the war.
