Abraham Lelie was a son of Salomon Lelie and Rebekka Izak Luza. He married 9 January 1889 in Amsterdam to Saartje de Jong, a daughter of Levie Salomon de Jong and Hanna Gast. The couple had eight children: the still at home living Rebecca and Elisabeth, and the elsewhere living Anna, Bernardus, Clara and Sientje. Their son Levie, married to Betje Bartels, passed away on 16 July 1929, and their daughter-in-law remarried later Marcus Meijer Krant.
One son has survived the Holocaust; before the war residing in Antwerp; during the war staying in London, where his spouse deceased in 1941 and after the war again moving to Antwerp.
