Isaac van Loon was a son of Salomon van Loon and Marianna Bonewit, who both passed away already before the war.
He married 6 August 1919 in Amsterdam to Vrouwtje Ketellapper, a daughter of Marcus Ketellapper and Rachel Bonewit.
The couple had three children.
Isaac was born in a family with 10 children. One little sister died in 1896, only 2 years old. One brother and one sister have survived the war but the other siblings, namely Clara, Hijman, Philip, Vogelina, Nathan and Louis have been killed during the Holocaust.
