Hartog Piller, a son of Mozes Piller and Naatje Snoek, married 7 August 1901 in Amsterdam to Bertha Wertheijm, a daughter of Levie Wertheijm and Heintje Vogel. Hartog and Bertha had four children, of whom two have survived the Holocaust. However, Heintje and the still at home living unmarried son Mozes were killed in the Shoah.
Hartog Piller self passed away a few days afther the outbreak of the Second Worl War and was interred 15 April 1940 in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
