Jacob Gokkes was the son of Isaac Gokkes and Catharina Tas. He married in 1913 in Zaandam to Rebecca Gerritse, daughter of Tobias Gerritse and Mietje Cok. After the dead of Rebecca in 1941 Jacob remarried in April 1942 to Esther Lopes Salzedo. Jacob lived with her at Weesperstraat 32 and 46.
Jacob's son Tobias Gokkes was married to Anna Mietje Haag.
