Isidore was married to Betsy Cohen. The couple lived in the Kromme Meijdrechtsraat until 1940, when they moved to Jekerstraat 45 II. Isidore died in 1941 due to sickness, at the age of 63. He was buried in the Joodse Begraafplaats in Diemen. The Family had three children: Maria (who died at the age of six, also buried in Diemen), Vrowtje (Freddy) and David. Betsy and the two children sruvived the war.

Isidore's children moved to Israel after the war, and were joined later by their mother. She lived her final days in an elderly home in Haifa (Bet Joles), and was laid to rest in Haifa cemetery.

The daughter of Isidore, Vrouwtje (Freddy), lived with her husband Hans Meijer in Raanana until her death. The couple had two children who are now living in the Netherlands, each of them having grand-children of their own.

The son of Isidore, David Heijmans, married Judith Francken in 1941. They went into hiding in Soest, Zeist and later in Driebergen. They moved to Israel in the first commercial flight of KLM to Israel, in October 1949, and settled in Ramat Gan. They had two sons and nine grand-children. All their grand-children live in Israel.
