Schrimski Family

Want to make contact

From my genealogical research, I suspect that Bruno Schrimski is a direct descendant of my 3rd great grandfather Elias Schrimski. Some of the family left Posen in the late 1850's and eventually migrated to New Zealand and later Australia.

Our name became Shrimski and we are now quite a large family.

I would like to make contact with any of Bruno's surviving relatives so that we can exchange family history (I have plenty of it)

To give a summary of some family history that I have found.    Elias Schrimski lived in Posen (Poznan) where he had 5 children (4 sons and 1 daughter). The oldest son was Jacob and he is my 2nd great grandfather. The youngest son was Isidore and I believe Bruno Schrimski may have descended from him. I am in contact with other descendants of Isadore who now live in the USA.

Isidore had 5 children. The 3rd child was Max. He married Bertha Bernstein in 1897. I was only aware of 1 child, Ignatz who died in Auschwitz 17 September 1943. It appears that Bruno may have been a brother of Ignatz. I would like to learn these details.

Flora Esther Sara Schrimski-van der Wieken is also listed on this site and I know that she was the 1st wife of Eduard Schrimski (grandson of Isadore Schrimski). He survived the war and died in 1965 in the USA.

I would be very pleased to be contacted.

Regards,

John Shrimski (Sydney, Australia)
