The Collection so called Arbeitseinsatz includes 4.480 cards of prisoners of various nationalities, working in different sub-camps and working commandos of Auschwitz-Birkenau complex. These documents were prepared in the office of Employment Department in SS camp administration.
Cards include the following headings: the name, date of birth, nationality ("Staatsangehörigkeit") camp number ("No." - Nummer) profession ("Erlenter Beruf"), profession recently performed ("zuletzt ausgeübter Beruf "), in the camp employed as (" the Lager verwendet als "), working squad (" Kommando ") and the part with information about prisoner transfers (" Überstellung am ... wohin ... ").

Cards were created between 1941 and 1944.

State Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau has only 4.480 copies of the cards. The original files are stored in the Storage Center of History and Documentary Collections in Moscow.
