Gerda Kahn was hidden during the war to avoid deportation. She was hidden in Hengelo Gelderland. A book was written "Adres Kervel Kelder" By W J M Hermans about her experience and the capture of her two sons Robbie and Harry. After the war she married Ben Degraaf in 1947.
Gerda and Ben moved to Australia where she died in 2000 in Sydney Australia. She was survived by her son Eric kahn who also survived the war. he died in 2015 survived by his four children.
