Here's a small history of my grandparents relationship to Amsterdam, when they were deported and what happened to them. My father had fled to Palestine before his parents were murdered. He later came to the United States.

Hello, my name is Peter Rona son of Herbert Rona(11/June/1906)born
under the name Herbert Rosenthal son of Martin Rosenthal(11/Sep/1878) and
Ellen Rosenthal(29/Mar/1884) also went by "Ella" and her maiden name was
'Cohn'. My father did have one sister, Charlotte Rosenthal.
I think what I
found was an address: Beethovenstraat 99, II1, Amsterdam. Both Martin &
Ella Rosenthal were deported from Amsterdam and murdered in Auschwitz.
Ella had medical experiments on her by a Dr. Meyer, date of death
20/Aug/1942( this was recently discovered by the American Red Cross in a
research they did in 2008), and Martin was killed in a gas chamber d.o.d.
31/July/1942.
Martin Rosenthal, a successful businessman owned and operated "Berlin
Gubener Hutfabrik AG" formerly Steinke & Co. in Germany. (One, I
researched, was established in 18/Aug/1926 with Kurt Schmidt in Guben and
Martin Rosenthal in Oberndorf Feldkirchen.He had a hat business in
Amsterdam too, called, "Amstel Hoedenfabrik".
