Liane used to live with her uncle in Limburg a/d Lahn, but he send her to the Netherlands after Krsitallnacht. her mother had been living in Amsterdam since January 1934: she had been a widow since April 1929. Mother had taken her son Werner with her.
Liane came to the Netherlands on December 7th 1938 and stayed in Amsterda, Losser, Driebergen, and another facility in Amsterdam before moving into the girls orphanage in May 1940. Eventually, in June 1942 she moved in with her mother in the Frans van Mierisstraat.
Her mother was Grethe Simon, her father was Max, born in 1895 in Lechein.
