Verhaal

Rosenstern Family

Door: Chuck Lentz

Marianne Deutsch (Rosenstern) and her husband Philipp played a key role in helping 16 year old Hans Ludwig Rosenstern leave The Netherlands in 1939 to join his family in New York. Hans Ludwig (later, John Louis Rose) referred to Marianne and Philipp as "aunt" and "uncle" in his letters. Hans' father was Paul S. Rosenstern of Hamburg/Hannover. Other than Hans' references to Marianne, we do not know the nature of the family relationship between Marianne and Paul, so would greatly appreciate any information that would help us in this regard. Thank you.
