Moritz Frank

Moritz was a cattle dealer, as were his father Salomon and his brother Sally. The family Frank had been living in Goch (Germany) for quiet some time (first half of the 19th centuary). Moritz and his wife Selma born Oster from Alpen lived on the Kleverstraße 11 in Goch. His parents and Sally lived on the Wiesenstraße 5. Since 1937 jewish cattle dealer were forbidden to do any business. So the economic basis for the families was taken away and life in Germany became harder. Moritz and his wife Selma born Oster moved to Boxmeer in 1938. There they lived with Selmas relatives (Paul Oster, Rosalie Oster-Windmüller, Raphael Oster) in Het Zand 10. Later they were taken to Westerbork and in 1942 they were deported to Auschwitz were both were killed on the 3rd of September 1942.
