Sally Frank

Sally was a cattle dealer, as were his father Salomon and his brother Moritz. Family Frank had been living in Goch (Germany) for quiet some time (first half of the 19th centuary). Sally lived with his wife Elli née Daniel in Goch , Wiesenstraße 5. When in 1937 jewish cattle dealers were forbidden to do any business, the economic basis of the family was taken away and life in Germany became quiet hard. Sally left Germany on the 25th of June 1938 and emigrated with his wife Elli to the Netherlands. On the 29th of January 1942 he was imprissoned in Westerbork. His wife Elli came to Westerbork on the 13th. of February 1942. On the 4th of September 1944 both were deported to Theresienstadt. Elli stayed in Theresienstadt until she was liberated. Sally was deported to Auschwitz on the 29th of September 1944 (Transport from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz on the 29.9.1944 prisonersno 799 ). On the 10th of October he was deported to Dachau. He had to do forced labour in a sub camp called Kaufering, where he died on the 17th of January
