Philip Boers was a son of Salomon Boers and Roosje Keizer. He married Eva Goslinki in Groningen on 1 July 1900, a daughter of Israel Goslinski, butcher, and Sara Cohen. In Groenlo, the couple had three children: their son survived the Holocaust but both their daughters, Sara and Roosje, have been killed during the Shoah.
Philip Boers was born into a family of six children, of whom one daughter had died at a very young age and two brothers have survived the Holocaust. He self, his wife and his sisters Sara and Henderina Jette have been killed in the Shoah.
