Keetje de Rooy (de Rooij) was a daughter of Mozes de Rooij and Sara Boeken, a family with eleven children: Jacob, Abraham, Betje (who passed already in 1908), Rebecca, Hartog, Esther, Samson, Pinehas, Coenraad, who has survived the Holocaust, Rachel and Keetje herself.
Keetje married 30 October 1906 in Weesp to Levie Elsas, son of Jesaia Elsas and Mietje Wijl.
The couple had two children: Sara and Marie who has survived the Holocaust.
