Marcus (Max) Cohen was married to Aaltje (Ali) de Wilde, but divorced in August 1941. Marcus was the father of Levie Cohen, born on the 26th April 1934.
Marcus was the owner of the so-called happiness-store at the Raadhuisplein 22 (see beeldbank Leewarden).
