Nathan Prins was the son of Joseph Prins and Rachel Emrik. He married Klaartje Milhado in 1884. The couple had three children: Joseph, Juda (died at a young age) and Abraham. After his wife had died in April 1942, Nathan Prins moved in with his son Joseph.
