Mozes Abraham Roos was married to Anna van Leer. The couple had three sons: Leman, known as Leo, Abraham, known as Bram, and Hein Mozes, also known as Broertje. The family lived at 54 Ezingerweg in Meppel, next to the Van der Sluis Jewish export butcher, where Mozes Abraham Roos worked as a butcher.
His son Hein Mozes was a clerk at Spijkerman's grocery shop on the Gasgracht. Leman was a coppersmith. He was an avid football player with the Meppel sports association MSC. He also belonged to the Jewish funeral association Gemiloeth Chasadiem. Abraham, like his father, was a butcher.
Mozes Abraham Roos was summoned to the Orvelte labour camp on 20 July 1942. A month later the three sons were summoned to the Linde labour camp in the municipality of Zuidwolde. They were subsequently transferred to Westerbork. Leman and Hein Mozes were deported to Auschwitz on 24 August 1942.
Mozes Abraham and his wife Anna were deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz on 30 October 1942.
