Antonie van Gelderen and his family.

Antonie van Gelderen, commercial traveller and son of Gabriel van Gelderen and Flora Harpman, married 23 April 1930 in Rotterdam Elisabeth Hendrika Beem, a daughter of Salomon Beem and Saartje Keijzer. After their marriage, Antonie and his newly wed wife lived in at Teilingenstraat 73b but afther the birth of their son Sally in January 1931, the moved to nr. 60b in July 1931, where they also lived in. Per 1932 they moved to Van der Sluijsstraat 78a and per 10 October 1935 they went definitively to Van Vlooswijkstraat 13a in Rotterdam.

The Van Gelderen family was deported from the Van Vlooswijkstraat to Kamp Westerbork 31 July 1942 and 3 September put on transport to Auschwitz. Upon arrival there 5 September 1942, Sally van Gelderen and his mother Elisabeth Hendrika Beem were killed immediately in Auschwitz-Birkenau. However, Antonie van Gelderen was forced to do hard labor for some weeks but was killed eventually 30 September 1942 in Auschwitz.
