About Selly Swaep

Selly Swaep was a daughter of Elias Swaep and Sara van Embden. She married the non-Jewish Gerrit van de Donk, a fitter by trade (later engineer in the merchant navy), and had with him five children. The marriage however did not last and on 13 June 1933, they divorced in Rotterdam. Selly did not remarry anymore; her ex-husband did so in 1934.

Selly Swaep was registered 10 April 1943 in Camp Westerbork and had to stay in barack 73, until 20 April, the date she was deported to Sobibor, where she has been killed immediately upon arrival there on 23 April 1943.
