About Anna Rachel Worms

Anna Rachel Worms, daughter of Aron Worms and Jansje de Lieme, was born in 1925 in Antwerp. After her parents were married in 1920, they resided in Antwerp at Van Immerseelstraat 57 and Wipstraat 42. Since 5 November 1937, Anna and her parents lived in Amsterdam again at Andreas Bonnstraat 20 I, the same address where also her grandparents Meijer de Lieme and Anna Rachel Italie resided.

Anna Rachel Worms was a nurse in a retirement home named Gück at Muiderschans 103 in Amsterdam since Juli 1942. Previously she was hairdresser. Acoording to notes on her registration card from the archive of the Jewish Council she stayed initially in camp Vught since 3 October 1942 and "gesperrt because of her profession" She has been brought into camp Westerbork on 2 July 1943 and from there deported to Sobibor on 6 July where she was killed upon arrival there on 9 July 1943.
