Paul attended the 1st Montessori School at the Correllistraat in Amsterdam. Today a memory plaque in the school commemorates him.
Paul's name appears at one of the suitcases in the artwork 'In Memoriam' by artist Willem Volkersz.
One of his peers has a memory of Paul Duizend when he was a pupil at the Cornelis Kruseman School, an other primary school in Amsterdam South (see also 'Roundup Olympiaplein'). The Duizend family moved from the Milletstraat to the Jan van Eijckstraat in 1939.
