About Mathilde Sohn

Mathilde Sohn was a daughter of Michael Sohn and Josephine Ochse. She married 8 October 1891 in Rotterdam the 14-year elderly Leonard Wolfsbergen, a son of Salomon Mozes Wolfsbergen and Rosetta Zangers. The couple had three children: Bertha, Josephina Clara and Amandus. About her daughter Josephine Clara is nothing known except that she was married and that she had two children in Batavia (Dutch East Indies) in 1921 and 1922. Bertha married a non-Jewish man but despite that, she has been killed in Auschwitz. Amandus was arrested in Rotterdam and sent to Auschwitz where he also has been killed. Mathilde’s husband Leonard Wolfsbergen passed away in Rotterdam on 19 December 1908, age 52 and she self has been killed in Auschwitz on 22 October 1942.

The early deceased Leonard Wolfsbergen had a brother Maurits Wolfsbergen. He was married in April 1891 to Mathilde's sister Clara Frederica Sohn.
