Emmanuel Roozendaal was a son of Abraham Roozendaal and Riekchen Hesse. He married in Amsterdam 22 May 1913 Betje van Praag, a daughter of Zacharias van Praag and Schoontje Geleerd. The couple had at least three children; one child has survived the Holocaust. Their son Abraham and daughter Susanna have been killed during the Shoah.
