Regina Hanna Leefsma was a daughter of Louis Leefsma (deceased in 1932) and Rozette Elzas, who has survived the Holocaust. She was unmarried.

She had another brother Benjamin and two sisters: Esperance Nanette (Erna) and Eliza Nanette. They too have been killed in the Shoah.
