Sara Prins was the sixth child of Abraham Prins and Grietje Levitus. She was mentally retarded. On 3 June 1922 she was admitted as a patient to Het Apeldoornse Bos. When the nursing institution was evacuated on 21 January 1943, she was deported to Auschwitz from the Apeldoorn train station with the other patients and some of the nursing staff.
