Max Block was married. He was deported from Westerbork to Theresienstadt on 22 April 1943 and from there on 12 October 1944 to Auschwitz.

According to the book In Memoriam Max Block by T. Nowotny (2011) Max Block was murdered on 14 October 1944 in Auschwitz. It is possible this date is different from the official date of death as established after the war by the Department of Justice.
