Esther Blom was a daughter of Marcus Blom and Kaatje van Maarsen. She married Abraham Kogel in 1907 in Amsterdam. He passed away in 1934. They had two children, among whom a daughter Suze.

Esther Kogel-Blom lived at 34 Gerhard Terborgstraat in Amsterdam. Under pressure of the circumstances she took her own life between 8 and 29 March 1943.
