David Maij lived before 1935 in Tel Aviv in Israël. On 23 August 1935, he was registered in Amsterdam, resided at various addresses but moved in May 1938 to Hoendiepstraat in Amsterdam. His profession was keeper of a boarding-house.
David Maij was the son of Julius Maij and Rosa David. He married in Amsterdam on 2 June 1937 to Else Goldberg, daughter of Yoni Goldberg and Amalie Frank. She lived in Amsterdam since 1936.
