About Anna Stelloo-Lierens

Anna Lierens was married to a non-Jewish man. Together they had seven children: Lucas, Samson and five children who survived the war. Before the war, Anna and her husband had been separated and three of the children came to live with her. Lucas and Samson lived in the Pedagogium Achisomog, a special department of the Apeldoornse Bos. The other two children lived somewhere else. During a raid, Anna Lierens was arrested and deported to Auschwitz. Two of her children were sent on an errand and when they returned they found the youngest child, a blond baby, in his cradle. The three of them survived the war in hiding.
