About Salomon Garf

Salomon Garf was a son of Emanuel Garf and Sophia Kok. He attended the Kunstnijverheidsacademie (Academy of Applied Arts) and the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten (National Academy of Art). Salomon Garf was married to Eva Cosette Baszanger, who died before the war. The couple had one child.

Salomon Garf was a widower. He was an artist and forged identification cards in the resistance. On 6 August 1943 he was caught in Amsterdam and deported to Auschwitz via Westerbork.
