Simon Brilleman was a son of Mijer Brilleman and Schoontje Aandagt. He married Mietje Pinto on 11 November in 1914 in Amsterdam and together they had four children: Meijer, Levie. Leendert and Sara. Mietje Pinto passed away on 19 February 1925 and Simon married again on 24 August 1927 Klaartje Scholte, a daughter of Barend Scholte and Grietje Borstel. Simon and Klaartje had in 1928 again a daughter Grietje.
