Betje Peereboom was a daughter of Levie Peereboom and Jette Bloemhof. She was unmarried. Betje was born into a family with nine children. Two of them died in childhood. One brother passed already before the war and one sister has survived the Holocaust. However, five of children in this family, Mozes, Roosje, Reintje, Abraham and Betje self, have been killed in the Shoah.
