About Isidore Lievendag

The Arnhem police commissioner requested that Isidore Lievendag and his wife Marie Lievendag-van Aalst be located, detained and brought to trial. They resided in Arnhem and were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Isidore Lievendag was married. His wife was pregnant when they arrived in Westerbork. The family was deported. Isidore Lievendag en the child perished in the war. His wife survived the camps.

In the book Koosje, een dinsdagskind (The Hague 1998) M. Frank writes about the Lievendag family during their stay in Westerbork.
