Elais Serlui was a son of Samuel Serlui and Judith Tal. Elias Serlui married on 24 May 1934 in Amsterdam. As well as his wife, their three children survived the war.
Elias Serlui and his brother Alexander Serlui were the founders of music-shop Serlui BV. They started their business at Nieuwe Achtergracht 10-14.
