About John Frederik Zeldenrust

John Frederik Zeldenrust, a chemical analyst, was unmarried. He lived in The Hague and joined the Oranjegarde resistance group. At first he distributed underground leaflets. Later he produced materials at his laboratory for acts of sabotage, including flammable concoctions used for arson.
John Frederik Zeldenrust was caught at 314a Trompstraat in The Hague in July 1941 and held at the prison in Scheveningen (Oranjehotel). On 20 October 1942, he was executed by a firing squad on the Waalsdorpervlakte.
