Alfred Radke married in 1928 in Brandenburg. He got a divorce in 1939. He had two children from this marriage. He moved from Brandenburg to the Netherlands in 1939. He lived in Rotterdam, Schoorl, Amsterdam and Sluis before he went to Westerbork. In July 1942 he moved back to Amsterdam.
