Karel Tertaas was married to Sara Philips. The couple had a son, Hartog. The family lived in the Swammerdamstraat 66 III in Amsterdam.
Karel Tertaas was an electrician.
He was killed in concentration camp Buchenwald and cremated.
The urn with his ashes was placed on the Jewish cemetry in Diemen on 23 July 1941.
