Sophia Cardozo was a daughter of Jacob Cardozo and Elisabeth Koekoek. She married 11 July 1922 in Antwerp to Levie Gans, a son of Hartog Gans and Sara Sluijs.
She was deported on 8 September 1942 with Convoy 8 from Mechelen to Auschwitz and killed upon arrival there.
Sophia was born in a family with five children. She self, and her siblings Esther, Jacob, Judith, and Hendrika have been killed all during the Holocaust.
