In April 1941, Het Joodsche Weekblad published an obituary for Izak Klein. A short message in the same edition of the paper reads: 'After a brief period of suffering, mr I. Klein died on Wednesday Choul Hamoungeid Pesach at the age of 30. He had been clerk in the secretaral office of the Dutch-Jewish Community since 1934. Later, he became verger in the Bezuidenhoutsynagogue. During his short period in office, the managed to build up a large circle of friends.
